Why I Use SBI
Site build it (SBI) - People always ask me, “What are the most important steps to building a good website”? I always tell them, planning, staying focused and keeping a great checklist.
Making your own website is not that difficult. The trick is staying on top on the thousands of minor details that actually do make a difference when it comes to your visitors and your ranking.
I have several sites now but before I ever built my first, I researched the topic. I spent hours researching the different ways people build websites. It wasn’t painful because I loved learning. It really was a labor of love. Every day I would find an interesting little tidbit or technique.
The problem was that after several weeks, I had so many notes that
it became unmanageable. This is the problem that most people
buildig their first website encounter. You need a system, a
roadmap. A way to give
the plan for your website some structure. Many people may
already understsand the overall structure. The part that is
ocassionaly overwhelming is the timing of things. For example
when
to research your domain name, when to register it? When to get a
host for your website? etc...
My late night discovery
Fortunately for me during one late night, I stumbled upon SBI.
After reading the materials on SBI I became intrigued. What really caught my attention was that fact that I didn’t need to worry about looking for separate hosting, paying for a separate keyword research tool, handling site submissions, etc., See the full list of features here. Having dealt with finding a host, keyword research etc, on a previous website I was extremely interested in how to make this process smoother.
The more I researched SBI the more I became excited. It just sounded too good to be true. Fortunately for me and thousands of others it is real. This website is proof that the system works. What is great about SBI is that for the beginner, your learning curve will be shorter. Why because it guides you along the way. For those experienced in site-building like myself, SBI deepened my level of understanding. No matter who you are, you are guided towards success.
So, how does it guide you? It actually has something that is called The Action Guide. The action guide is a step-by-step process, presented in both written and video formats. I personally used the video. I loved the animation. All you have to do is follow it. Don't get sidetracked; don’t worry about a checklist, just follow it.
Choosing a Niche
One of my favorite tools in SBI is Niche Choose it! Choosing your niche is probably the most important part of building your website. Choosing the wrong niche could mean wasted money and lost time.
Niche Choose It! becomes your final decision-making tool. It uses decision-matrix theory that makes choosing the best niche for YOU easy and nearly flawless.
Some people know HTML and some don’t
If you don’t know any HTML, don’t worry, you don’t need to. The HTML that you may want to use is basic and can be learned very easily. If you do know HTML and want to utilize those skills, there is an option for you also. SBI is compatible with popular HTML editors such as Dreamweaver and image tools such as Photoshop. You can use advanced page-building techniques if you like. This is a win/win for everyone because it allows for maximum creativity at all skill levels. I used Kompozer when building my site.
Another reason why you won’t need a checklist
Creating an optimized web page is extremely important when it comes to ranking with the search engines. There are several steps that you need to remember. I talk about this steps in several articles at You make a website.com. SBI walks you through the optimization of your web page every time you create one. Over time, you learn to optimize on your own correctly. Great feature if you are a newbie.
You learn "great technique" quickly (correcting bad habits), allowing you to concentrate of other things like writing great content.
Managing your website
A lot of website owners have no clue how their site is doing. How can you manage and grow your business if you don’t know how you are doing and what your visitor thinks of your site. In SBI there is a great tool called Traffic Stats and Click Analysis. It helps you understand what your visitors like most. It is this understanding that helps you focus your content, which in turn leads to more and more business. This is an excellent feature
Its a great tool...
