2.Go to the control panel of your web hosting account. Click on the “Fantastico Deluxe” smiley. Fantastico Deluxe allows you to install (Joomla) software and a content management system on your web hosting account.
3.Locate ‘Joomla 1.5’ on the left hand side panel
4.Click on “New installation” button
5.Enter the details, such as domain name and directory name, where you want Joomla 1.5 to be installed. If you want to install Joomla in the root directory of domain, leave the directory box empty.
6.Enter username and password in the account details section. Thereafter, enter the admin email and site name in the base configuration section.
7.Click on “Joomla 1.5” to begin the installation procedure. Before the installation procedure is completed, you’ll notice that your access URL for Joomla (http://mygames.com/Joomla) is provided.
8.Click on the “Finish Installation” button to complete the installation process.
You should now be able to login into your Joomla administration panel and add content for your website.
Installing a Joomla Template - Make a Game Website:
1.Search for a Joomla template on Internet. Select a template for your site, download it to your computer.
2.Unzip the Joomla template zip/rar file on your hard drive. (Don’t change the default name of the unzipped folder)
3.Login to you web host account and upload the template folder where Joomla is installed. You have to upload the template folder to the “templates” folder in your main Joomla directory.
4.Go to your Joomla administration panel and then the ‘Extensions’ panels and select the template from the drop down box. The drop down box contains all the installed Joomla templates. Choose a suitable template and set it as default.
