Have you published any articles lately?

Article marketing. Article publishing. I am sure that you are all familiar with the terms. The question is how many of you are actually following through? Are you helping yourself or missing opportunities. I can't emphasize more, how powerful this tool can be.

Publishing additional content on article directories helps to introduce you and your website to tons of free traffic. Personally, I have found several interesting website just by browsing article directories. You know, wandering through the article directory, finding something interesting, reading it then deciding to visit the website. What is even better? Someone finding an article, clicking back to your site and finding it interesting enough to bookmark. Now that is a double win/win.

I hinted at an additional benefit to article publishing above. Backlinks. All articles that you publish should contain at least two links to your website. Within these links, your keywords should be embedded as anchor text. Google loves anchor text within links.

A published article provides several backlinks alone to your site. If your article happens to get picked up by say a blog and it is published again, you receive additional backlinks. Just imagine this happening to one article post across several blogs. Obviously how many times the article gets published depends on its quality and visitor interest but this is extremely powerful.

Toot your own horn if you have too, write those articles. The search engines will take notice and so will your visitors. And remember, quality content is king.

Article Directory NEW
by: Warren

Hi Angela,

I like ezinearticles.com, articlesbase.com and articlesnatch.com. All three provide great exposure to your website. The only thing to remember is that articlesbase.com is no follow. Some other options include ehow.com, buzzle.com and hubpages.com. ehow requires an application and a resume before accepting your post. Buzzle requires writing samples before you can post. There are tons of smaller article directories however all of the above are among the most searched.

Growing my website. NEW

Hi Warren,

Thanks for the info, great reminder. So many things to do. What are some of the better places to post articles? Do you have a favorite or are most article directories pretty good?

You Make A Website Blog

"What should my website be about, help me choose something?"  This is the one question that I hear all the time.  Everyone is knowledgeable about something.  It could be sewing, photography, skydiving etc...You are not trying to re-invent the wheel.  All you are trying to do is share a knowledge of something that you are passionate about and there is demand for.  Your visitors will benefit and so will you.  Win/Win!

You-make-a-website.com strives to maintain the highest standards of decency, fairness and integrity in all our operations.quoted text
