Do You Need a Website - Affiliate Marketing
Getting started in affiliate marketing. There are no guarantees but owning your own website can be indispensable.
Why? The secret to any business' success is its credibility. An affiliate marketing business should be represented by a web site that is both professional looking and credible. It is this website that will be the foundation/ launch pad for all of your marketing efforts.
Here is where I normally get the questions about building a free website. Free websites are great. Some are better than others; however they don't always give the impression of being both credible and professional in terms of running a business. This brings me to a question, what good is having a free website if it can't be monetized?
If you really want to earn an income on the internet, in most cases you are better off building a website at a nominal cost than using a free site. It is much easier to achieve a level of credibility and professionalism.
When building a website just keep in mind, it must be user friendly. Your site should cater to the needs of your potential visitors/customers.
Most people surfing the web are simply looking for information that is both specific and relevant. Make sure that your site satisfies this need, it adds value. Its content has to be useful.
Of late, I have noticed a good number of blogs, some websites that are only designed to extract traffic from the search engines. By this I mean, they are stuffed with hundreds and hundreds of keywords and then topped off with Google ad sense. This strategy seems to work well only if there is no real competition in your niche. Yes I agree, initially do rank well.
However, eventually Google catches up and you lose your number one position. Not to mention, if you have learned how to build a site correctly (this is where I plug SBI, it really is a great system, I use it all the time) you could easily beat these sites. Check out the video.
I build sites all the time that over a few months rank in the top 10. I mention this not to brag and to insinuate that it is easy, but to encourage those that think it is too hard. So many niche sites out there are mere keyword shells. Despite what you may hear, there are tons of opportunities, still available on the web.
You have to be smart about it though and you have to set your site up correctly. SBI teaches you how to do this. Learn it once and you build a great foundation for life. Those who prefer the quick and dirty, keyword stuffing way of constructing a website often find that a few months down the line, they have either been banned or they don't rank well enough to earn anything. Don't let this become you.
Build quality sites. Remember content is king. Quality content not only helps you achieve a higher ranking in the search engines but it also helps you build credibility. Think about it, by posting useful, relevant articles, you become a credible expert.
As a credible expert, you become someone whose endorsements have value.
Credibility, a good name and in some cases a good website is key when trying to establish a dedicated base. It is this base that becomes the life blood of your affiliate marketing campaigns.
You want people to not only visit your site but return again and
again. This is where social media efforts come in to
play.
Most people only use social media for personal reasons but to successfully grow your business you need to take it to the next level. One product that I use is Market Me Suite. It can be use for Twitter and Facebook. I am not going to puff it up because I think it speaks for it self. Check out the video, and see if it is for you.
Don't miss out on establishing a social media presence.
Finally remember, when creating a site, the possibilities are virtually endless. You are only limited by your imagination. Don't be afraid to explore different ideas.
