Could Your Blogging Be Dangerous?

Blogging started in the late 90s. Initially it was just one way of gauging visitor opinions via a commentary/comment section. Since then, blogging has become the “personal spin” on various topics for millions. But what is it that makes blogging so important?
The following are just a few reasons why you should have a blog and why it is a great marketing tool.
Blogging builds credibility – As you become more and more of an expert on a particular topic, your visitors come to depend on you for their informational needs. In addition, other bloggers begin to link to your blog or website. As your readership grows, you will find that more and more people are willing to pay for advertising on your blog. In addition, more people are willing to pay for affiliate marketing campaigns.
Blogging is simple – blogging is very easy. If you already have a website, simply incorporate a blog within. In most cases a blog is simply a number of ideas, products or experiences design to appeal to your readers.
Websites containing blogs have been known to feed off a portion of the traffic/visitors, originally recruited to the site by the blog. If you don’t already have a website; creating a standalone blog is also pretty easy.
Blogging and its authenticity - Whether on TV, ads on the trains, radio etc.., advertising is everywhere. Blogs are a little different in that they are run by average people and represent their real life experiences and or opinions. For example, some are actually based solely on products or product reviews. There is nothing better than purchasing a product that someone else has tried/reviewed. Not only are we as the visitor able to obtain valuable information but we are also given the opportunity to purchase a great product from a recommended, reliable source.
Blogging/Free – I can’t ever remember coming across a paid blog. Although I’m sure there are some out there, most are free and offer a wealth of information. A free blog creates a continuous supply of visitors/readers. Assuming that your content is quality, your traffic can be monetized. You would simply market related products and or services.
Finally, blogging helps to create a market for your product or service. Not everyone that visits your site will be in a buying mode. Some will only be looking for information. However, if the information provide is quality, you site/blog may be the first place they think of when they are ready to make a related purchase.
Take the time to stop and think about your talents, your knowledge base. If you are looking to build your blog or business it is possible. Design your plan of action today and follow through. Take that first step.
